| Cavanaugh Lake is a part of the award winning Chelsea School district. Many year-round residences as well as cottages surround this 199 acre lake. Many cottages have been in the same families for years.
This all sports lake with a county picnic, play and beach area is on the Southwest side of the Waterloo Recreation Area. Homes sit at lake level or on high bluffs to the north and east sides of the lake. There is no public boat launch area and the lake depths range from 5 to 19 feet.
This lovely lake is just a few minutes west of downtown Chelsea and just north of the I-94 interstate at the Kalmbach Road exit.
